What we do

FIFA exists to govern football and to develop the game around the world. Since 2016, the organization has been evolving rapidly to become an organization that can more effectively serve our game for the benefit of the world.

The new FIFA is modernising football to be global, accessible and inclusive in all aspects. Not just on one or two continents, but everywhere.

Under our vision to make football truly global, we will help develop football everywhere so that there are at least 50 national teams and 50 clubs from all continents that can compete at a top competitive level.

Football for Schools is not just a programme that is teaching children how to play football, it is much more than that – it is a programme that wants to give lessons for life, through the values of football.

Principle 3

Children’s rights will be respected and promoted throughout the game of football.

Principle 4

Safeguarding children is everyone’s responsibility, regardless of the country we are from or the role we hold in football.

Principle 5

Specific roles and responsibilities must be defined within Member Associations (MAs) and all concerns will be reported and dealt with appropriately.
