Purpose

Discrimination - in all its possible forms and expressions - is one of the most common forms of human rights violations and abuse. It affects millions of people everyday stifling opportunities, harming physical and mental health, wasting human talent and accentuating social tensions and inequalities.

Online, discriminatory hate speech towards players and coaches during international tournaments is all too common.

NO DISCRIMINATION is an awareness, education and action campaign which inspire change and action on discrimination. Our goal is to rid the football world of discrimination.

We all have a part to play.

DISCRIMINATION of any kind against a country, private person or group of people on account of race, ethnic, national or social origin, gender, disability, religion, political opinion or wealth, birth or sexual orientation is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

FIFA’s bespoke social media protection service

#SilenceTheHate

More than half of the players who featured in the finals of the greatest tournaments worldwide suffered abuse on social media.

FIFA believes that being abused online is not an acceptable consequence of playing on the highest stage.

As FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, we are helping teams and players automatically hide abusive social media comments within seconds of being posted with the use of FIFA tailor made social media protection service.

Before they’ve seen the abuse. Before their family has seen the abuse. Before their fans have seen the abuse.

It’s time to silence the hate and ensure there's No Discrimination at FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Partnership with The World Health Organisation (WHO)

The World Health Organisation (WHO) and Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding in 2019 with the intent to raise awareness on the need for universal health coverage and to remove stigma and discrimination associated with mental and physical Health. This work includes using the global platform of football to inspire change and to advocate better and healthier lives for all.
